Término o frase en español: cedazo para zarandas
Dear colleagues:

I will be posting a few terms which are driving me "potty", but I will post them separately (cobas, and cedazo para zarandas). I am not sure that "cobas" is correct, and I have tried variations, but nothing.
This report relates to Nicaragua.

* I assume what is meant is "sierras".

 Insumos para los Sistemas Agroforestales: traslados de plantas maderables de Cedro Real, Caoba, Cedro Macho, Quebracho, guapinol, acacia, cortes.

I have researched "cedazo" and it mentions "sieve", as does "zarandas"; I need the term for "zarandas", but I also found "zarandas" in Mexico is a "wheel barrow", but the report is Nicaraguan, so "wheel barrow" does not help.

Thank you all so much for your invaluable assistance.

mesh for sieves
Explicación:
On second thoughts, although "zaranda" does mean an insect screen in Nicaragua, you're right that it also means a sieve, as elsewhere, and in a list of implements it's more likely to mean that here. So cedazo, as I suggested before, is almost certainly the mesh. In other words, I basically agree with Robin, but I think the translation he's suggested is unworkable in this context; I don't think these are filters.

medium for filters

Explicación:
'cedazo' and 'zaranda' are commonly used interchangeably. But, from your context, it's fairly clear that your ST uses 'cedazo' to refer to the filter 'medium', whilst 'zaranda' is the frame which supports the medium.

Usuario que pregunta: Thank you Robin. I certainly believe you are on the right track, and your proposal certainly helped to clarify the meaning. I believe in this context, I will go with Charles' proposal (which works for me, I think!). LOL. Again, many thanks. Taña

Usuario que pregunta: Thanks so much Charles. Eternally grateful as always. I may just go with your suggestion which makes perfect sense in my context (the report is on cocoa production in a Cooperative in Nicaragua). Again, thanks so much.

Glad I could help, half the battle is researching for the correct terminology, glad to help a fellow colleague.

Usuario que pregunta: Thank you Chris for your wonderful references. Un abrazo.

Usuario que pregunta: You're so right, and it was not for the lack of research on my part (which I make every attempt to do myself), but the term was just not gelling. Many thanks again, Chris.
