THis is actually from a text describing the work produced by an Argentine artist in the seventies:

En los años siguientes continuó realizando diseños de anfibios, peces, aves, crustáceos y moluscos mecánicos, articulados o a propulsión, dibujos que le interesaban en su condición proyectual, ya que no fueron materializados en objetos, a diferencia de los proyectos de hábitats artificiales.

Would it simply be moving? "a propulsion" seems to be an adjective phrase, whereas "propulsion" is a noun...
