Thanks in advance for help with this!

I get from this that we are adding the delay introduced by the filter to the calculated phase. I don't get the 50Hz. Is it a 50Hz filter? or am I adding 50Hz to the calculated phase? or.....?

The (phase) retardation introduced by the 50Hz filter is added to the calculated phase
Explanation:
This seems to be a case of using a low pass filter to introduce phase retardation.

The (phase) retardation introduced by the 50Hz filter is added to the calculated phase

Explanation:
This seems to be a case of using a low pass filter to introduce phase retardation.

Example sentence(s):
  • The phase lag of each filter was not affected by the number of sweeps used apart from a general smoothing effect. The lag for the 50 Hz filter is linear in the range 0 to 25 Hz at 5 deg/Hz.

Notes to answerer
Asker: In this section it is discussing the use of a PLL (Phase Locked Loop) and the overall context is the protection of a fuel cell particularly when the grid is not present - in the case of islanding.
