It may not be very common at all, in which case, to the extent you might want an option that produces an "equivalent effect," one that uses "evidence" may be the way to go. That said, more natural-sounding options definitely exist. I prefer "journal" to "log" in this context. And even though "observation" may not convey the results or successes understood by 'evidencia,' it would appear to collocate rather nicely with "journal" in this context. IMHO :-)

In another area, I'm currently using "evidentiary logbook" (a record of invoices sent and received electronically) but I don't think it's appropriate for the teachers' notebook described here. Maybe something like "progress log" would work...

I agree. This is why I also included a second suggestion without anything directly corresponding to "evidence". A teacher or teacher's journal may work as well. There are lots of options here, in my opinion.

I am not sure you really need to translate evidencias in this case. Since this is for the teacher, couldn't you just call it a log book. My two cents :-)
