Spanish term or phrase: agrupamiento de escuelas
'imparten el cuarto año de escolaridad obligatoria en escuelas distintas pero asociadas a una misma estructura organizativa (agrupamiento de escuelas)'

This paragraph is about teaching in different schools that follow the same structure.

Is there an official translation for 'agrupamiento de escuelas'?

Group or Board doesn't ring a bell in this case.

Thanks in advance!

agree  philgoddard: Or grouping. There's no "official" translation, so you can call it what you like within reason.

  -> I agree, grouping also works fine. Although I would prefer cluster. Thanks Phil!

district

Explanation:
I would suggest "district" if the agrupamiento is based on a particular local, such as a town or city. For example, I've worked in the same school district for the past 13 years. We have four elementary schools which feed into one middle school, which then feeds into one large high school. They are all part of the same organizational structure, which in this case is called a school district. A cluster might even be a smaller grouping within a larger district. For instance, some large urban districts might have clusters of schools that focus on the humanities or sciences.

Example sentence(s):
  • A lot of people have moved to this area because of the great school district.

Notes to answerer
Asker: I know the term school district, but this isn't what it's about. It's not a place but rather a 'group' of schools that follow the same educational structure. I think cluster ir what I'm looking for but thanks anyway!
