Dear friends:
I come to you once again for help. The document (again) is about Adult Education in Mexico, and in describing the different type of staff that give the educational services, I have come across "asesor solidario" many times. Here's the sentence.....

"Un círculo de estudio está constituido por un grupo de educandos que se reúnen para trabajar con un *asesor solidario* en el horario convenido entre ellos, independientemente de que estén estudiando diferentes niveles o módulos."

.....and this is what I came up with, but I'm not so sure...

"A study circle is made up of a group of students that get together to work with a *support advisor* at a time agreed on between them, regardless of the level or module of the students."

En el caso específico de México, por ejemplo, el modelo del "asesor solidario", basado en la idea de que cualquiera que sabe leer puede alfabetizar...

Y otras consultas breves que indican que se trata de personas voluntarias con un grado medio de estudios, pero no muy elevado, por lo que se les puede llamar "peer advisors" en inglés ya que en muchas características se identificarán con los educandos.
