biome analysis Explanation: I wondered for a moment whether this could be a typo for "bionic analysis" :) The adjective "biómico" comes from the discipline "biómica", in English biomics: "Biomics is the biological study of Biomes, and the processing that data, such as ecological communities of plants, animals, and soil organisms." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biomics But the term "biomic analysis" occurs almost nowhere. What is found, however, is "biome analysis", which I believe is the equivalent English term: "BIOL 4330 - Biome Analysis 1 to 4 credit hours Prerequisite: Permission of department and junior or senior standing. An intensive classroom and on-site study of a specific biome. Special emphasis on data collection and analysis. Consult the department chair for specific credits and costs." http://catalog.mtsu.edu/preview_course_nopop.php?catoid=10&c... " Biome Analysis Analysis of bacterial communities inhabiting various environments (i.e., biomes) may be accomplished through the use of ribosomal RNA or other target gene sequences to identify the various species present.
