alipoid/alipic Explanation: Both these answers seem to be synonomous, but I'd go with alipoid. The accent is missing in your example. It should be alípica, meaning a- lipic or lack of oil (lipid). Alipoid Characterised by absence of lipoids. Origin: g. A-priv. Info in English: Alipoid skin refers to dry skin as a result of a lack of oil over the entire body as there are smaller sebaceous glands that are under active. The visible symptoms are reduced elasticity, scaling and roughness. Clients with this condition complain about tightness and itching. http://skintradespa.blogspot.com/2009/06/what-is-alipoid-ski... Definition of Alipic SkinThere are two types of skin dryness. These conditions often co-exist, contributing toward the predisposition to wrinkles, dehydration and irritation. http://www.skin-beauty.com/alipicskin.html |
