This is from the same document. I'm completely flummoxed as to how to translate the above.

Concurso de Arquitectura, para la creación de una bodega en Haro (La Rioja), con volúmenes insertados en el terreno, de hormigón e interiores de madera, de chapa, de vidrio,... y pieles que salen al exterior por los huecos.

Obviously it is an inovative creation. Judging from this and your previous question such translations allow you to be creative in your translation as well. Imagine some hollow concrete blocks as the the rough layout for the design/construction. Over this structure students/teachers going to experiment with various types of materials- wood, glass, tin etc. Are they experimenting with light and shade, transparency of materials? I agree with you it a hard translation.
PS. re: previous question I did agree with double skin sandwich but 'sandwiched' istead od sandwich, would be my option. Good luck.
