Spanish term or phrase: parte de Arranque y Corrida de motor
Hello,

I am translating an investigation report regarding a plane crash.

The section below is taken from a statement from the mechanic who worked on the plane on the day of the accident.

demoraba demasiado.

My attempt is "indicated "Cut" (or "OFF"?) in the ignition/running section of the engine. I can't find a reference to Arranque y Corrida anywhere.

Thanks

engine start/engine run-up
Explanation:
As for "corta" we need more context. It could be an order to the pilot. "Shut down" (the engine)

I would not use "cut" or "off" by no means.

Did the mechanic write "corta" (a description) in the form?
Did he tell the pilot "corta" (an instruction)?

Explanation:
More or less as you suggest yourself. I agree with you that it is "Arranque y Corrida" and not "Corrida de motor", the capitalisation indicates this as well.
