The consumption of services and supplies by machine buyers. Explanation: I feel that the Spanish is not very clearly written. The original in Spanish may be interpreted as the consumption of machines by the clients: "una parte muy importante de su negocio es la postventa, es decir, el consumo que hacen sus clientes de las máquinas que les compran" Are the clients consuming the machines? I don't think so. I think the sentence really means something like this: "The consumption of services and supplies by the buyers of the machines." |

the supplies his customers purchase Explanation: I agree that the original is awkward, but I think the idea would be most clearly expressed through something more like: “XXX tells us that a very important part of his business is continuing sales—the supplies his customers purchase for the machines they buy from him." |
