build a high degree of added value of national origin into an aircraft Explanation: Or something like that. I think that's close to the least awkward way of saying they aim to put as much Mexican added value into the aircraft as they possibly can. |

(disregard "en") build a complete aircraft with a high added-value of national origin Explanation: I think the "en" has crept into the term by mistake because in this version below it is not there. I think "integrar" means to build a complete aircraft. Reference: "esta nueva inversión, que dará a ... la capacidad para ***integrar un avión con alto contenido de valor nacional***..." http://www.economia.gob.mx/swb/work/models/economia/Resource... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day13 hrs (2010-10-28 13:37:07 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- according to the reference I gave, the extension to the plant is to be used to produce a new aircraft, which is why I understand "integrar" as "to build a whole aircraft": "... la construcción de nuevas estructuras como fuselajes y alas, así como de arneses eléctricos y sub ensambles, permitirá a esta firma iniciar la producción del nuevo avión ejecutivo XXXXXXX XX" |

participate in the building of a plane with a high proportion of parts manufactured in Mexico Explanation: (Even if it is later put together and tested in the US) I chose 'manufactured in Mexico' rather than 'national' as I imagined the intended readers would not be Mexican. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 57 mins (2010-10-27 01:26:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I found your original, and I think this is what is meant, though as Robert says it's a strange sentence. I must admit that my version is rather clumsy, though. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 days (2010-11-02 12:56:10 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Glad to be of help. Your version is considerably neater. |
