En una feria hay un stand que promociona un producto (e.g. un teléfono), hay un teléfono como el que se promociona pero hecho gigante (como una maqueta). no es una gigantografía ya que no es una fotografía ni un dibujo sino un teléfono gigante para llamar la atención y adornar el stand.

agree  Paul García: (si no me equivoco, en castellano también "gigantismo" refiere a la enfermedad, pero quizá no tanto como "giantism" de inglés.)

  -> A eso me refería; "gigantism" en inglés hace referencia únicamente a la enfermedad. Mientras que al parecer el castellano lo ha adoptado para esta forma de modelismo. Saludos!
