El original no esta muy bien redactado. El término aparece en este contexto:

"Dirigirnos a un público que tienen en común no la ciudad en la que viven, su sexo o su edad; sino la forma en la que se comportan en el entorno on-line."

Por mi parte tengo:

"Addressing a target audience which share in common, not the city they live in, not the sex or age, but the way they behave in an on-line context"

El principal problema es "...audience which share in common..", quizás debería decirse algo así como "..audience whose members share in common...".
