style/form Explanation: morphotype exists, referring to the shape of animals, so this must be connected to the way the Brand is presented...good luck! |

morpho (logo) Explanation: www.morpho.com/products_solutions/law_enforcement/PDF/RapID_051805.pdf Kind of fingerprint or biometric ID; the term is actually trademarked by Sagem, but no doubt used elsewhere. Not to be confused with morpho, the butterfly of the same name... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 22 mins (2007-02-06 15:13:10 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Sorry, thought I´d changed that to *Morpho (smart) card* |

unique style(shape) or type of style(shape) Explanation: I beleive they want a card design which will not require a change in the "unique style" of the logo of the company selling the card -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2007-02-06 16:50:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As Edward Tully mentions below a morphotype is a way to classify animals (and other objects as well). Another understang of morphotype could be subclass, basically distinguishing between types. I think thats how the brand or logo here is being described...a separate class, a different type,...unique. |

icon/logo Explanation: Based on the information below, it seems that a logotipo and morfotipo correspond to logotype and icon in the Wikipedia entry for "logo". In English I don't think the tendency is to refer to the two units separately so I think it would be best simply to use "logo". "Las marcas usan los símbolos igual que las religiones: mientras éstas tienen una cruz o una estrella que las identifican, aquéllas manejan un morfotipo y un logotipo, o sea un dibujo y una palabra." http://eme-equis.com.mx/001MX10-13punk2.html "A logo is an iconic symbol designed to represent a company, organization, product, service, and sometimes certain places (e.g., Canada). In recent times the term 'logo' has been used to describe signs, emblems, coats of arms, symbols and even flags. In this article several examples of true logos are displayed, which may generally be contrasted with emblems, or marks, which include non-textual graphics of some kind. Emblems with non-textual content are considered one aspect of a complete logo. Distinct aspects of a complete logo: Logotype/Wordmark/Lettermark: text or abbreviated text Icon: symbol / brandmark Slogan: description of the company" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logotype |
