Los discursos de las grandes marcas desactivan la visceralidad comprometida de la amenaza “gamberra” o subversiva de la contracultura adoptando los preceptos rebeldes para crear una estética vacía de concienciación social y cargada de ***glam*** (ej. Nike, Adidas)

Do they really mean 'glam' here??? Or perhaps I could say something like steeped in 'urban cool' or the like. Glam to me describes people like David Bowie, Bryan Ferry etc. Are Nike and Adidas adverts 'glam'??? Can't say I've seen any I would describe using that word, but I may be wrong! :-)

Explanation:
...an esthetic bereft [OR, utterly lacking] in social awareness and that is all about "urban cool".

To piggyback on Ross' endorsement of your idea, I think this particular phraseology would work nicely in context--moving from the formality of "bereft of" (OR, utterly lacking in) to the vague, trendy hipness of "all about" (a phrase one hears constantly in the speech of Americans under the age of 40).

Thus, the language itself would somewhat reflect the content of the contrast being discussed.
