To piggyback on Ross' endorsement of your idea, I think this particular phraseology would work nicely in context--moving from the formality of "bereft of" (OR, utterly lacking in) to the vague, trendy hipness of "all about" (a phrase one hears constantly in the speech of Americans under the age of 40). Thus, the language itself would somewhat reflect the content of the contrast being discussed.
