funkcionalno celovite pozicije = pozicije koje predstavljaju funkcionalnu celinu
Npr. kod građevinskih radova imamo ploču koja se oslanja na grede; ploča i grede su sve funkcionalno povezane pozicije (functionally related items) čija je zajednička funkcija da se opterećenje ploče (sopstvena težina ploče + pokretno opterećenje) prenese na vertikalne noseće elemente (stubove ili zidove) ali se jedinične cene daju posebno za pojedinačne grede a posebno za ploču jer svaka greda i svaka ploča predstavlja za sebe funkcionalnu celinu. Isto važi i kod svih ostalih vrsta radova. Ovo je veoma bitna stavka u ugovorima i upravo zato je i naglašeno da se jedinične cene odnose na funkcionalno celovite pozicije.
