Japanese term or phrase: 当たりを出す
Appears in a detailed description of jeans. Full sentence is as follows: セルビッジによる凹凸があたりをだし、穿きこむ事で自分だけ体に馴染む。My extremely rough draft so far: The unevenness/irregularity/bumpiness caused by the selvage ?????, so when you put them on, they mold/fit to your body.

Any help would be much appreciated!

faded colour
Explanation:
アタリ means "faded colour" of denim, which gives a used look. (Sometimes, it's used as 「ビンテージ感」(used look), but the two are not the same; アタリ is one way to show a used-look.) The source seems to say that the faded colour on the bumpy hem gives a used-look.
