Recess Explanation: "Recess" will fit quite nice and is widely applicable. However, please note that each manufacturer has their own applicable terms and prferences. Why not tell your customer - as I always do when I deliver - that your translation was that best word that fits and provide them with other candidates, e.g. indentation or indented area? Maybe they had neglected to provide you with their preferred word list, as is often the case. This way you present the client with your recommendation and other candidates for their consideration. I'm sure either way that they'll appreciate the feedback and the fact that you're caring about the choice of words to make their document as clear and readily understandable as possible.
