electrical erosion/corrosion occurred at the chuck portion. Explanation: 電触=電位差腐食, 電食、 英辞郎 suggests : electric(al) corrosion // electric(al) erosion // electrochemical corrosion // electrolytic corrosion // stray current corrosion. I thought of "electrical interference" for the context given, but I'm not sure.
