A law that regulates drug prices in Japan. Can't find the English word for it because I can't figure out what is the non-abbreviated version.

Drug Pricing Rules or Drug Pricing System
Explanation:
Not exactly a law in its own right, but could this be "Drug Pricing Rules"

"...the drug price proposal prepared by the MHW Secretariat in accordance with the drug pricing rules, and moreover that the pricing proposal from the Drug Pricing Organization shall not be rejected by Chuikyo."

iv. Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals
Pricing rules to correct domestic/overseas differences in medical devices' prices are applied when there are marked differences... As for innovative medical devices, pricing rules for new categories based on function have been established...As for the drug pricing rules, the range of comparator products has been revised, but the decision process has not been changed. It is incorrect to say that the Japanese Government is provided with "wider discretion."

OR "Drug Pricing System"? (http://www.jpma.or.jp/12english/guide_jpma/regu.pdf)
"Entries of new drugs in the NHI Price List take place as a rule four times at regular intervals a year."

-> Thanks, Manuel. I'm pretty sure there's no such "law" as 薬価法, nor do I think it's a contraction.

薬価法
drug pricing system

Explanation:
I am not sure about this, but this might actually not be a law, but rather a system run by the NHI in Japan that normally is called 薬価制度. Would that maybe fit your context?

National Health Insurance Drug Price Standard

Explanation:
I’ve also never heard of 薬価法, but the standard of drug prices are decided and notified by the Minister of HL and W under the Health Insurance Law. My understanding is that the scheme goes by the name of 薬価法.

薬価基準=National Health Insurance Drug Price Standard, to be notified by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, under the Health Insurance Law (enforced in 1922)

健康保険法に基づく「使用薬剤の薬価(薬価基準)」(厚生省告示)により定められる。

  -> Very many thanks.

agree  Minoru Kuwahara: i assume that's a good option to use the word "薬価基準" in reflection of absence of 薬価法 (is it by way of 薬事法?). -
