Oh, please ..... Explanation: Sounds like a samurai talking to a lower class, peasant type person. Is this from anime or comic strip? In any event, どんぞ means どうぞ, I guess. X is expressing his intention to kill a man. Y's response is "Oh, please ....." X further says "Sorry trouble you but send me to a police (soldier) station. Now, above being the case, I am not sure Y is agreeing with X's intent to kill. Y could be saying "Oh, please NOT ...." You have the context. |

oh, ok... Explanation: just making guesses since I saw that disagreement... assuming that どんぞ is basically the same as どうぞ, that can be translated as "go ahead". so that's another possibility. I can't understand what Y is thinking as he says that though, just from this bit of dialog. I feel like it could be anything, like "oh, ok", or "whoa! all right...", or "huh. go ahead", etc etc. so... just a matter of what combination you think works the best?? |
