XX million jobs Explanation: Looking through the referenced essay, it appears that this means something like "xx million jobs"...as in jobs created for XX million people. But I believe in English this would genereally be written as simply "xx million jobs", as in "created 23 million jobs in the area of manufacture in 20 years"...or something like that. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2008-01-25 07:12:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I realized that this doesn't necessarily have to mean "million"...so please substitute that with the correct number in your case. Number of man-hours/days Explanation: The advantage of the man-hour concept is that it can be used to estimate the impact of staff changes on the amount of time required for a task. This is done by dividing the number of man-hours by the number of workers available. ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_hour - 23k - |
