Thanks, Funaki-san. I found a picture of some equipment used for this testing on the Internet, and it showed a vertical shaft that punches down into an indented "受台", so I chose to call them "impact base" and "impact shaft". The Jp explanation given was as follows: 一定の球面を持つ撃芯とその球面に合致する凹みを持つ受台の間に試料を挟み込んで任意の高さから重鐘を落下させ、試料の損傷状態を比較測定する装置です。また電気落下方式の機種,プラスチック用も取り揃えております。
