Japanese term or phrase: つば状の
外周縁で外耳道内壁と接触する遮音壁が後端側にたわみ、該たわんで隣接する遮音壁と遮音壁の間の間隔に密閉空間が形成される「挿入部2の長手方向に直交するようにゴムなどの柔軟性物質で構成した薄い**つば状**の圧接円板3、3…を複数個取りつけたもの」

What would be a good way to say つば状の in this case?

Thank you.

brimmed or flanged
Explanation:
A ツバ refers to the brim on a hat, so in technical terms, this would mean a flange or flat protrusion of some sort.

The sentence is talking about some type of "thin circular contact disc made out of a pliable material that has a flange "...

maybe "a thin, flanged circular contact piece".... is better.

...tough to say without knowing what the sentence is about.

Hope this helps.

finned

Explanation:
Hello, conejo...I hope I have found it.

The below site talks about "finned" rotor disks.
There are other sites talking about finned disks on the page.

I forgot to mention that if you Google "finned disks" you will get several references to them.
As Tory states, つば is a brim. A fin is also "a helpful projection" that is used in a variety of contexts: with automobiles, door & window slats, swimming gear, ship (stabilizer), fish, etc.
