Bus/Financial - Economics / earnings report
Japanese term or phrase: 需要(の)一巡
This term appears twice in an interim corporate earnings report. One: 需要一巡による伸び悩み, and the other: 需要の一巡と価格下落の影響により伸び悩んだものがある. Any help as to what it means and HOW I could better locate it myself would be appreciated.

round of demand
Explanation:
This is direct translation. What it's meant is that demand is nearly saturated in the market, so new sales tactic must be devised to stimulate another round of demand surge.
In your sentence it says anothe factor of stagnating sales (or revenue) is price decrease. So the company is suffering from the lost revenue or sales due to these factors.
That's my educated guess.
Good luck!

Thanks especially for the explanation, humbird. Based on that, I eventually worded it as "saturation in demand" in one site and "market saturation" in the other. Thanks! Can, I like your wording too; as it were, I did need a short noun phrase in these cases, but I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I run across the phrase.

需要(の)一巡
cycle of demand

Explanation:
Clearly most established businesses have seasonal trends in demand. The term "cyle of demand" communicates that clearly, I believe, perhaps more so than "round of demand".

Shannon, you might be talking about replacement demands, new-product demands or else.

UNQUOTE
