Leider habe ich keinerlei Material gefunden, das meine Annahme "stützt", aber deutsche Texten über Schuheinlagen sprechen oft von (unter-)stützenden, anatomisch geformten Fussbetten.
Könnte das evtl. die Bedeutung sein?

Vielen Dank, auch an Laura und Prawi. Es ist eine "anatamisch vorgeformte, stützende Schuheinlage" geworden. Fußbett passt hier nicht, da die Sohlen herausnehmbar sind.
