Explanation:
CIP ist die classe di merito, im deutschen Versicherungssystem die Schadenfreiheitsklasse. CIP 1 ist die Klasse mit dem höchsten Skontosatz, CIP 18 mit dem höchsten Schadenzuschlag.

Üblicherweise wird auch in Deutschland mit Bonus/Malus-System gearbeitet, d.h. bei einem schadenfreien Jahr (oft aber auch 2 Jahren) kommt man in die nächstbessere SF-Klasse, bei einem Schaden dagegen steigt man im nächsten Jahr um 3 Klassen.

Noch eine Erklärung zur Pejus-Klausel:
PEJUS
E' una condizione di penalizzazione relativa al Ramo R.C. auto, settore veicoli per il trasporto di cose (camion). Colpisce l'assicurato se nel periodo di osservazione si sono verificati più sinistri che l'assicuratore ha dovuto indennizzare. L'entità del Pejus dipende da quantità incidenti sono stati risarciti: se ne sono stati pagati due il Pejus ammonta al 15% del premio assicurativo; se tre o un numero superiore, l'aggravio è pari al 25% del premio. In seguito alla liberalizzazione delle tariffe nel 1995, l'applicazione del Pejus da parte delle imprese è facoltativa.
