Da Luserna parte la strada che collega l’altipiano cimbro con il passo di Vezzena e poi con la Val d’Assa attraverso cui si arriva ad Asiago. Lasciato il paese si sale tra prati delimitati da muretti in pietra calcarea: il paesaggio con le inconfondibili guglie di Spitz Tonezza, con il profilo della Vigolana e con il gruppo delle Dolomiti di Brenta vale una sosta. Proseguendo si arriva ai pascoli di malga Millegrobbe: da qui parte la famosissima gara di sci di fondo. Uno sterrato conduce sul “Sentiero della Pace”, la ex strada militare che si immerge nel bosco. I ruderi di trincee, ***dell’infermeria***, del circolo ufficiali e delle cisterne fanno intuire l’esistenza del Forte Lucerna, o Lusern, uno dei capisaldi difensivi nella Grande Guerra. Nel vicino cimitero militare di Costalta riposano oltre 3.000 soldati.

Non credo che in guerra la chiamano "Sanitätsraum" o "Krankensaal"..., no? Ma non mi viene nulla di decente...
