In finanza si intende per spin-off lo «scorporo» di una parte del business di un gruppo articolato. **Lo spin-off aziendale è perciò la nascita di un'azienda come “costola” di un'azienda madre.** A volte la nuova azienda può restare nel perimetro della azienda madre.
