Si userebbe in questo modo: "Produkt wird unterpreisig angeboten".

Parlando di un'inserzione commerciale banale, il termine "Marktpreis" non viene usato, è riservato agli analisti.
'Sottocosto' intende 'sotto il prezzo d'aquisto', cioè in presunta "perdita", cosa che fa credere al cliente di avere un vantaggio sul commerciante.
Termini usati in Germania in queste occasioni sono ad esempi:
"Zum Selbstkostenpreis" (=pari al costo) oppure "Der Preishammer" oder "Rausschmeißerpreis" (le ultime due per un jergo più volgare).
