Il prof. XYZ ha passato in rassegna i problemi e le trappole cognitive nelle quali incorrono troppo spesso i lavoratori e i negoziatori con risultati non ottimali delle proprie trattative. Vi sono almeno quattro trappole documentate responsabili di tali inefficienze:

a) l’atteggiamento lose-lose, ovverosia la tendenza delle parti a non riconoscere e a sfruttare le potenzialità integrative presenti in ogni negoziazione;
b) il comportamento denominato la “maledizione del vincitore”, per cui le parti fanno concessioni troppo ampie, con il risultato che alla fine resta una disponibilità estremamente ridotta di risorse su cui poter trattare;
c) l’abbandono del tavolo negoziale, che si verifica quando i negoziatori rigettano i termini offerti dall’altra parte, termini manifestamente migliori di qualsiasi altra opzione disponibile, questa condotta questa per lo più imputabile ad una eccessiva baldanza cognitiva o al desiderio di dimostrare supponenza orgogliosa;

Comunque baldanza è Dreistigkeit, Anmaßung, Überheblichkeit. Forse si potrebbe anche azzardare un "von Anmaßung gestörte Wahrnehmung".
