Dilemma: Birigit und Michaela haben beide Recht. Es kann im umfassenden Sinn bildende Kunst im Sinne von mit den Augen betrachtbar gemeint sein, die dann z.B. Bildhauerei, Malerei etc. mit einschließt, oder figurative Kunst, auch gegenständliche Kunst genannt, die "die in der Wirklichkeit vom menschlichen Auge wahrgenommenen Dinge in ihrer Erscheinungsform so darstellt, dass sie [noch] identifiziert werden können" (Duden - Deutsches Universalwörterbuch, 2003. Nur aus dem größeren Kontext geht deshalb hervor, was hier gemeint ist. Der Oberbegriff wäre jedenfalls bildende Kunst, falls man nicht erkennen kann, was gemeint ist, und nicht zu tief ins Fettnäpfchen treten will.
