Ma l'impossibilità di certi tipi di divenire (ad esempio da uomo trireme, o da bove cavallo) e l'affermazione dell'esistenza di sostanze immutabili....

Il rifiuto aristotelico di ogni tesi "evoluzionistica" - ad esempio il divenire da pesce uomo, o da uomo macchina - è fondato sulla elevazione al rango di regole metempiriche di certi tipi di divenire riscontrati empiricamente.

Je me pose peut-etre un problème simple. Mais je n'arrive pas à traduire ce "da" : "il divenire da uomo trireme / da bove cavallo/ da pesce uomo/ da uomo macchina".

La thèse qui est expliquée ici est le fait qu'un boeuf ne puisse devenir ensuite un cheval.
