*** Dal punto di vista eziopatogenetico *** vi sono due teorie. Alcuni autori attribuiscono un ruolo fondamentale alla compressione sul nervo pudendo (5-6). Secondo altri un ruolo di primo piano è svolto dall’ipoperfusione sanguigna peniena (4-7) che porterebbe alla fibrosi dei corpi cavernosi (8-9-10).
Tutte le teorie convergono, però, nell’identificare la regione perineale come il punto critico dove avviene la compressione di queste strutture.
