Prepariamo ora il materiale da apporto sezionando la bacchetta di saldatura scelta in base alla lega utilizzata per la travata (in catalogo la XXX ha oltre 25 tipi di saldature) seguendo le indicazioni presenti sulla Tabella Metallografica. Per questo caso abbiamo utilizzato la Ceram-XXXX. La porzione di saldame viene ripiegata ad "U" e posizionata sulla zona da saldare insieme ad un piccolo strato di flux. Il saldame deve toccare la struttura in almeno un punto.
