D'après le petit Robert : objet matériel de forme ronde (circulaire, annulaire ou cylindrique) (rond de serviette, par ex.). D'après ton texte, ces "ronds" pourraient être des espèces de formes dans lesquelles passent les barres qui formeront la grille, un peu comme des moules permettant d'avoir des barres de diamètre égal.
