Apartment/condo sleeping 2/3 3/4 people Explanation: App. is an apartment, a condo. 2/3 3/4 is the # of people that the apratment can hold. Pax means passengers, people, guests. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 mins (2007-10-15 17:43:47 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- sorry, typo: apartment, not apratment! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2007-10-16 06:24:25 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Note of explanation to Jim. I've been working as a travel agent for 10 years (4 in the US) and when my American clients want to stay in an apartment let's say in Maui, they say "I'd like to stay in a condo" as opposed to staying in a hotel. I think condo is shorter than saying apartment, this is why at least in the US I've heard it more often than apartment. In Italy my clients would say for example: "quanto costa una settimana di vacanza in appartamento in Sardegna?", again, as opposed to a vacation in a hotel. There are some properties which are only condos (buildings of apartments/condos only) like the one I have shown you in my link below, and others which have rooms AND apartments. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2007-10-16 06:31:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- See definitions below (at point B): http://www.answers.com/topic/condominium?cat=biz-fin CONDOMINIUM A) A building or complex in which units of property, such as apartments, are owned by individuals and common parts of the property, such as the grounds and building structure, are owned jointly by the unit owners.
