The terms are included in the usual succinct list of products manufactured appearing under the heading "Corporate Purpose". My take is to render it as "sports equipment and for sports practice" but I am assailed by the atroce dubbio. Perhaps "sporting equipment and equipment for sports practice". The manufacturer includes this among much more core business products. Grateful for suggestions on how to improve this.

Explanation:
Hi Mary. The lawyer who wrote this is just trying to be all inclusive. Just when exactly attrezzautre sportive does not include all attrezzature per pratiche sportive, I have absolutely no idea, but the same can be said for equipment for sports and equipment for sports activities, hence the post. The main reason is because lawyers were word paid by the word for centuries, and now that they aren't they just blindly follow this ridiculous traditional style of redundant writing, where we are the victims of their herd behaviour.

Asker: Simona - I think you hit the mail on the head and this will fit well. Thanks. I knew I was just up too close and lacking perspective. Mary Lynn

equipment for sports and outdoor activities

Explanation:
'practiche sportive' seems to be a fairly broad church, including such diverse activities as birdwatching, climbing, rafting, archery and fishing, so hopefully 'outdoor activities' should cover it (whereas 'hobbies' or 'pastimes' would be too general and 'games' too inaccurate)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Oliver. I was probably being too discreet when I failed to say that the manufacturer is in the fashion field and so I doubt that outdoor activities would fit this narrow shoe, so to speak. I must say I enjoy and benefit from all your posts. Thanks so much for all your many contributions - ne faccio tesoro as they say here. Mary Lynn

Asker: I fear my note to you got lost in cyberspace - just to say that I think your words and your explanation are right - and that I see examples of superficial cut and paste frequently in the legal documents I translate. Keep on with the sharing!
