grid square maps Explanation: I had a look at the italian maps google sent me to, I think that's what they mean -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 51 mins (2006-10-17 20:19:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- map sheet to copy the grid square map on, it just makes perfect sense to me in the context, it's probably some map that is part of the documentation -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day11 hrs (2006-10-19 07:02:29 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I'm really not sure, just looking at the google images, Index Maps seems to be the broader term and they are not always grid square maps, while all the "quadri di unione" seem to be in grid squares, so I just believed this is the English translation. |

(index maps) http://images.google.it/images?svnum=10&hl=it&lr=&q=grid map (grid maps) IN any case I still confirm the answer to your request is index map, because the dictionary clearly translates it as quadro d'unione, whilst I can't seem to find grid map for the same term.
