I've found this term in many English texts with the Italian term left as is (in italics) but with an explanation in parentheses, i.e. a document testifying the registration of a purchase and sale deed, etc. This site provides an Italian/English real eastate glossary which might be useful and which explains the term.

disagree  Renato Suetta: the nota di trascrizione doesn't transfer anything: it's a document that allows a copy of the deed to be registered in order to establish priority between parties who claim rights on the same property PS question is old but the answers are still searched
