Grazie, Enea

dispensing
Explanation:
I'm not highly confident about this, but from what I remember about working on information systems for substance misuse treatment centres (which involves dolling out things like methadone for the service users/clients/patients), prescription is what the care professional decides the patient needs and dispensing is the process of physically giving them the drug via a pharmacist. You will be better placed than I to tell which of these processes is being referred to in your text. HTH, anyway.

  -> grazie e buon we

Grazie comunque - Enea

supply

Explanation:
In my understanding, this is not about supplying medicines to the patient, but supplying medicines from the distributor to the pharmacy. But I could be wrong....

"Prescription" would be "Prescrizione"- no?

agree  Enea Slavic: Thank you, I think this is correct. Do you think that dispensing system could be correct? it is referred to the national sanitary system and not on the sole prescription.

  -> thanks, in that case I might go with 'national distribution system' instead
