In a list describing the symbols for an infrared thermometer I have a stick figure symbol of a man followed by:
Parte applicata tipo BF

Nothing further and I haven't a clue what BF could stand for and this is the only point in the entire manual that mentions it.
I'm open to all suggestions.

I'm afraid I don't Eileen, I haven't been able to work it out either. All I know is there is type B, type BF and type CF. Sorry!

Type “B" operates within the patient vicinity (Body)
Type “BF” makes physical contact with the patient (Body Floating)
