non sono d'accordo che assorbimento significhi verifica se arriva corrente al motore; perché in questo caso non c'è assorbimento, dato che a motore fermo la corrente è nulla.

Se si guarda una qualunque tabella di motori (vedi sito indicato) per ogni motore viene dato l'amperaggio nominale a carico.
Quindi per esamoinare l'assorbimento di un motore la cosa più semplice è verificare la corrente assorbita.
Assorbimento è il sostantivo di assorbire; se misuro l'assorbimento degli ampere, misuro la corrente assorbita.
Come ho detto si può anche misurare la potenza assorbita, ma ciò è molto più complicato, perché dipende dai giri dal cos fi, dalla tensione. In via preliminare in genre si guarda con un semplice amperometro quanto assorbe il motore.
Infatti poco oltre espressamente viene detto "assorbimento di corrente dei motori".

There are multiple meanings of 'assorbimento'. In the question, it's being used two ways. In the first part, it is being used as 'input'. The instructions ask for the user to "verificare assorbimento elettrico motori spazzola" or 'to check 'even if' there is current to the motor." This is like saying 'check if there's any input.'

Then it asks the user to measure/check the 'absorption' across the motor - "corrente assorbita dei motori".
This makes sense as you'd work your way along a circuit to check things. But this second use is a bit strange as some people have pointed out as the 'power reduction' across the motor isn't usually called 'absorption' - but, we all can understand the context.
I'm not trying to answer the question here. I just want to point out that in this particular question, the same term is being used two different ways. But, the second word is 'assorbita' not 'assorbimento' I suppose. So, not exactly the same. This seemed part of the Asker's original dilemma.
