Garages and paintshops generally have 'bays', and I'm assuming that this is the area where the paint gets prepared and mixed, sprayguns get washed and so on. Alternatively, something which uses the word preparation might be appropriate, such as "preparation area".

Notes to answerer
Asker: I know they use the expression "prep. bay" or "prep. area" intended as a place where car bodies are prepared before being painted and dried. The room I am trying to name is a separate place, other than a preparation bay/area but attached to it, that contains colour matching equipment and spray gun washers.
