use of the abacus Explanation: I would translate "with regard to the custome of using an abacus". I don't think you will find an adjective and stylistically "abacistic practice" is unattractive to say the least. "Per matematica dell'abaco o abachistica intendo la matematica dei mercanti, dei contabili, degli artigiani, degli architetti, degli agrimensori, dei bottegai, in due parole la matematica...
