I keep coming across this expression- or realtà industriale, throughout the document. I've just been ignoring the realtà part up till now but am I missing something?

Here's the context:

I wonder if this could actually be referring to "XXX" (whoever/whatever it is that has done the organizing), which I assume is a business organisation of some sort in the industry concerned, that the speaker (your first "XXX") is trying to cosy up to. If this doesn't feel right from your context then I'd go with Tom's answer.
