Explanation:
Sono d'accordo su "head loss" o "losses of head" che si misura in colonna d'acqua (m, cm, mm).
La perdita di pressione "pressure loss" si misura in bar o kPa
Per calcolare la perdita di carico dovuta ad una "caduta di pressione" di 100 Pa si divide tale valore per l'accelerazione di gravità = 9,81 m/s² e per la massa volumica (se acqua = 1,2 kg/m³).
Conclusione in una tubazione percorsa dall'acqua:
Perdita di carico (m H2O) = caduta di pressione 100/(1,2 x 9,81) = 8,495 metri di colonna d'acqua

Faccio una correzione; ho scritto acqua invece di ARIA (pensando alla colonna d\'acqua); infatti la massa volumica dell\'acqua, come noto è 1 kg/dm³ ovvero 1000 kg/m³; mentre è l\'aria (a circa 20 °C)che ha una massa di 1,2 kg/m³.
