blower / blower fan Explanation: Nelle UTA (Unità trattamento aria), dette in inglese AHU (Air Handling Unit), che sono i macchinari di condizionamento aria per i grandi impianti (niente a che vedere con i piccoli condizionatori da appartamento) ci sono ventilatori di mandata (che "spingono" l'aria condizionata all'interno dei locali) e quelli di ripresa che fanno il contrario,aspirano l'aria viziata per buttarla fuori (eventualmente con un parziale ricircolo) e vengono anche detti "estrattori", di solito importanti per certi locali (bagni, officine, etc.) dove potrebbero ristagnare puzze o polveri/gas fastidiosi e/o nocivi, oppure per locali che devono essere tenuti a pressione leggermente inferiore (es certi locali "a tenuta" ospedalieri o di laboratorio, dove in caso di sigillatura imperfetta delle porte stagne, l'aria non deve comunque uscire per evitare contaminazioni, essendo preferibile che entri dell'aria esterna nel locale tenuto a bassa pressione appositamente).
