Local retrieval Explanation: In your context, it seems to me that what is being referred to here is local retrieval of information (from a central or local database, as Michael suggested) in this case, and remote retrieval in the case of your other KudoZ query. Also, I would use retrieval, rather than recovery, because recovery seems to be used in the case of lost or damaged data, and I don't think this is the case in your context.
